Affiliate Marketing Versus Network Marketing

Affiliate Marketing has sure caught my attention! There are alot of people that I know in the Network Marketing arena that I have had to tell, “don’t knock it until you have tried it” Why? Well, they are so determined to make it in the Network Marketing sector, that it has blinded them. Many of them are on the 3rd or 4th product, and feel they have a “new lease on life” with the introduction of Social Marketing or Web 2.0. It still is not working for them, and they are in denial.

I spent some time in the Network Marketing arena, and I am not going to “knock” the business in a monetary sense, because it did and still do make good residual income that I did not have before I started it. I do want to mention that making this money did not come without a lot of time, headaches, and frustrations.

My whole point is that eventually I had my share of going through so many steps of the process, and spending so much time on the business, that I really did not accomplish what I set out to do. Not make good money, but enjoy my life! Hey folks, I am not going to pull any strings. I spent along time to just build a prospect list. I spent along time talking and interviewing prospects. I spent along time, sponsoring people. I spent along time nuturing my downline! To be perfectly frank, it was too much time for the money that I earned.

I finally got tired of having other people depict how my business was going to turn out. I don’t care how much care you put into your prospecting (which really is the meat and potatoes in the business), you are going to suffer serious attrition? Why? I don’t know. My wife says that I can’t find anyone else as driven as I am. Maybe, but I don’t think that is the main reason. THINGS JUST HAPPEN. I can name three extraordinary individuals that I signed up that were former corporate execs, looking for a “new lease” on business life. What happened? All three of them are back in the corporate world.

I thought to my self, if these people are dropping out, then what do I have left? The funny thing about it is that I had a very easy duplicatible system for them to follow, and they did not.

A very good friend of mine introduced me to Affiliate Marketing. I have been there since, and have never looked back. I have my own agenda, I am accountable for my work and my work only. The business after a very short while made me a very good income, and it is only going up. I spend under 1/2 of the time I spend on Network/Attraction Marketing.

Don’t get me wrong, I do work and the work takes diligence and patience, but I myself, feel like I have a new lease on life. Take your time, explore affiliate marketing and see what it can do for you.
